University of Miskolc - Where tradition meets innovation

The University of Miskolc is a centuries-old institution of higher education, whose predecessor was founded in 1735 in Selmecbánya. It is located in the northeastern part of Hungary, in the town of Miskolc. Although the University belongs to the city of Miskolc, it can be referred to as a real University town. Moreover, it is the only real campus in Hungary, as it has all the academic buildings, restaurants, dormitories, faculties and institutes, and several entertainment venues in one place. Despite its centuries-old history, we also focus on innovation, with more than 650 researchers and lecturers on campus, and we are constantly developing new tools to help young people who study here. In total, we have hundreds of courses across eight faculties, with a growing number of courses available in English. Our courses are characterized by a high level of preparation and great value for money.
