Overview
Program description:
The Sályi István Doctoral School offers the opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree to holders of master’s degrees who are interested in research and development in applied and theoretical mechanical engineering. The doctoral school deals with three main topic areas: fundamental research in mechanical engineering, design of machines and structures, and issues relating to material science, material processes and systems. The doctoral programme can be undertaken through a course-based structure or independently. The first task for all PhD students is to acquire the theoretical foundation essential to carrying out professional research. The second task, which is as significant as the first one, is to set research and development objectives, carry out the research work, and achieve and publish new academic results.
