Overview
The English Foundation Programme for International Students (Preparatory Year) has been designed for students who wish to study at the University of Miskolc, but do not yet have the necessary level of English language competence and study skills to start a bachelor, master or PhD program.
The aim of the English Foundation Programme is to educate international students to acquire the skills necessary to communicate effectively in social interactions.
Language improvement is the core element of the programme, it provides a stable foundation in English vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar and the development of receptive and productive competences, as well. International students will also study the features of English academic language. In addition, students participating in the programme will be able to carry out learning and research tasks in their chosen field of study and apply the competences required in autonomous learning and research in their current and future training programs. Furthermore, intercultural communication, Hungarian language and culture are also included in the programme
